Kentucky State Police Investigating Injury Collision in Trigg County

NEWS RELEASE

CADIZ, Ky. (April 16, 2023) – Kentucky State Police (KSP), Post 1 is investigating a two-vehicle injury collision that occurred Saturday evening in Trigg County. KSP was contacted by Trigg County Dispatch just after 6:00pm CT on Saturday, April 15th regarding the two-vehicle collision in the 4000 block of Rockcastle Road, requesting KSP to investigate the collision.

Preliminary investigation revealed Wayne R. Pawlowski Jr., 48 years old of Cadiz, KY was operating a 2008 Lincoln Town Car eastbound on Rockcastle Road. Matthew Moore, 31 years old of Anderson, SC was operating a 2015 Chevrolet Colorado traveling westbound on Rockcastle Road. For reasons still under investigation, Pawlowski’s vehicle crossed the center line, striking Moore’s vehicle head on. Pawlowski was transported by AirEvac to an out of state hospital for life-threatening injuries. Moore did not report any injuries.

The investigation remains ongoing by Trooper Holt. KSP was assisted on scene by Trigg County Sheriff’s Office, Trigg County Rescue Squad, and Trigg County EMS.
