On April 23, 2024 at approximately 10:35 PM, McCracken County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 200 block of Glenn Street on a report of a stabbing. Joseph Spalding was located with multiple stab wounds to his back and arm.
Detectives responded and continued the investigation. Through investigation it was determined that Spalding was in a physical relationship with 33 year old Jamie Bailey of McCracken County. During an argument, Bailey retrieved a knife and ultimately stabbed Spalding several times. Spalding suffered severe injuries that required treatment by an out of state hospital.
Jamie Bailey was charged with Assault 1st degree and Tampering with Physical Evidence before being lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
