Track team opens outdoor season at Calloway Quad meet

MURRAY – Tuesday marked the first outdoor track meet for the Marshall County High School team since June 1, 2019 at the KHSAA Class 3A State Track Meet. The girls and boys teams competed in the Calloway County Quad Meet against the teams from host Calloway County, Graves County and Murray.

Combined, the two teams recorded six first place finishes.

Starting with the girls – Audra Fite won the 1600m with a time of 6:14.20, Leah Vincek took the win in the 800m in 2:41.29  and Laney Evans won the 200m in 29.41.

For the boys team – Samuel Langham won the 400m in 56.02 and Ben Fiser placed first in both shot with 47’10” and discus with a throw of 152’6″.

The Bruin Relays at Central Hardin are up next this weekend followed by next Saturday’s (Mar. 27) Invitational of the South at Marshall County.
