Paducah man arrested for warrants and illegal narcotics.

On 04/26/2024 at approximately 3:18 P.M. A Deputy with the McCracken county sheriff’s office made a traffic stop in the ROSS parking lot of the Kentucky Oaks mall.

The vehicle was operated by Kathie King of Paducah. Through further investigation it was found that the rear passenger of the vehicle was identified as, Daniel Cooney, who had two outstanding warrants for his arrest.

Cooney was asked to exit the vehicle and arrested. Deputies then were able to locate suspected methamphetamine in the area where Cooney was seated. Cooney was transported to McCracken county regional jail and lodged.

Cooney Charges:

  • Possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).

King Charges:

  • Improper signal.
  • Failure to produce insurance card.
  • Obstructed vision/ windshield.
