As is the case across the country, substance abuse is a problem in Marshall County. Marshall County Health Department Director Billy Pitts and Public Health Program Specialist Shay Glover joined us recently on WCBL’s Coffee Call program. Pitts says there is a special free program Tuesday, May 23rd at noon at the Benton branch of he Marshall County Library. He says the program is on substance abuse prevention and how to help people recover from addiction and will feature Dr. Alex Elswick from the University of Kentucky.
