Master Gardener Barbara Ray made an appearance recently on WCBL’s Coffee Call program. She said since COVID-19, more and more people are taking an interest in gardening and new tools are coming on the scene to make gardening and lawn care even easier. Some of those new tools include a walk-behind weed eater and a motorized, self-propelled wheel barrow. Ray says the plant Zinnia is very important as a food source for butterflies, hummingbirds and bees, those that pollinate our fruit trees, crops, flowers and vegetable gardens. And Ray said the popular Master Gardner Plant Sale will be Saturday, May 15th from 8 am ’til noon at the Marshall County Extension Office.
