Calvert City, KY (May 06, 2024) – On May 01, 2024 the Calvert City Police Department responded to a BOLO given out by Central Dispatch of a black SUV driving recklessly and in the ditches on Calvert City Road. There were multiple reports of this vehicle hitting a mailbox and a stop sign. A motorist stopped the responding officer to let him know that the vehicle was headed towards him. The officer observed the vehicle pull into a driveway at a high rate of speed. Upon further investigation, Crescentia Kay Egner, 39, of Benton was arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/substances 2nd offense. She was also charged with no registration plates, no registration receipt, failure to produce insurance card, possession of an open alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle, and criminal mischief 3rd degree.
