Delaney Miller signs to continue swimming career at the University of Evansville

Delaney Miller, joined by her parents Kim and Jonathon, signed on Monday to continue her swimming career at the University of Evansville.

Delaney Miller signed on Monday at Marshall County High School to continue her swimming and academic career for the University of Evansville Aces, a member of the Missouri Valley Conference.

Delaney has been a member of the Marshall County swim team for six years. This past season she won the individual region title in both the 50 yard freestyle (25.43) and 100 yard freestyle (55.77) events. Delaney won the Sportsmanship award and Outstanding Athlete award at the Region One Championships and advanced to the KHSAA State Swimming Championships at the University of Kentucky Lancaster Aquatic Center.

Delaney holds nine of a potential 11 school records in swimming.

In addition to swimming, Delaney has lettered in cross country, track and field and tennis. Last season as a member of the tennis team, she qualified for the KHSAA State Tennis Championships in doubles.

At Monday’s signing, Delaney was joined by members of her family, members of the swimming and tennis teams, coaches and friends.
