Suspicious Vehicle Complaint Leads to Drug Arrest

On May 14th, 2024, at approximately 1:40pm, deputies with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office were investigating a suspicious vehicle complaint in the 3000 block of Old Husband Rd. Deputies found the vehicle, a White 1999 GMC Sierra in the 4000 block of Hardmoney Rd, the driver was identified as Nathan Smith of DeKalb, MS.

During the investigation, it was discovered that Mr. Smith was in possession of a quantity of Crystal Methamphetamine.

Nathan A. Smith was arrested and transported to the McCracken County Regional Jail where he was lodged.

-Possession Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Methamphetamine)

-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

-Failure of Owner to Maintain Required Ins/Sec 1st Offense
