Joseph Skelton, 74 of Benton, KY died on Thursday, October 3, 2019, at Marshall Co. Hospital in Benton, KY. He was a Methodist Minister and a member of the Memphis Methodist Conference.
Born Wednesday, February 21, 1945 in Calvert City, KY, he was the son of the late Jack Skelton and the late Ruby (Flora) Skelton. He was the husband of the late Diane (Cherry) Skelton.
He is survived by his daughters, Christina Haltom husband David of Benton, KY, Allison Tomlinson of Vanleer, TN; brother, James “Jim” Skelton wife Katherine of Evanston, IL; and grandchildren, Cody, Brayden and Caiden.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
A Funeral service will be at 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at Collier Funeral Home, located at 211 West 5th St, Benton, KY 42025 with the Rev. Stan Waldon officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Saturday, October 5, 2019, at Collier Funeral Home.
