ALERT: Pothole Patching Crew working along I-24 from 2-17mm in McCracken County starting at 10:30 this morning.

Traffic ADVISORY

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will have a crew patching potholes along I-24 Eastbound and Westbound through McCracken County starting at approximately 10:30 a.m., TODAY.

The crew will be working along I-24 from the 2 to about the 17 mile marker.  This moving work caravan will move traffic to the left-hand or passing lane to allow work mainly along the driving lane.  There are several potholes that will require the crew to work in the same spot for an extended period.

This will be a moving work caravan.  Motorists should be alert for trucks with arrow boards directing traffic to shift lanes to facilitate the work.

This crew is expected to be patching potholes along I-24 from approximately 10:30 a.m., CST, through about 2:30 p.m., CT, TODAY.

Motorists should be alert for slowing and merging traffic as they approach this mobile work caravan.

Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and other personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.

Recent wide temperature swings and extended periods of rain have combined to provide ideal conditions for potholes to develop.
