DRAFFENVILLE – Gabi Snow allowed just two hits on the mound, picking up the 11-3 win for the Lady Marshals Thursday against Calloway County.
Hailey Harrell was perfect at the plate going 4-4, while several Lady Marshals had two hits led by Chaney Stearns with a double and triple and Snow with two doubles.
Calloway led off in the 1st inning with two runs, scoring on a ground out to 3rd by Peyton Garland and Kristen Kelly scoring on an error.
The Lady Marshals wasted no time tying the game up in their first at-bat with Stearns scoring on a double to left field by Peyton Smothers and Smothers scoring following a single by Cross.
Three more runs for the Lady Marshals came in the 2nd inning on an RBI double by Miller, RBI triple by Stearns and Stearns scoring when Fiessinger reached on an error.
Two more in the 4th gave the Lady Marshals at 7-2 lead over the Lady Lakers. Those came on a bases-loaded single by Cross to center field that scored Harper and a run scored by Fiessinger.
A single by Harrell and double from Snow got the 3-run 5th inning rolling. McKensie Harper hit an RBI single that scored Harrell, McKenzie Tack (running for Snow) scored on an error and Harper scored on a single by Fiessinger for a 10-2 lead.
Calloway scored one more in the 6th and the Lady Marshals added their final run on an RBI double from Snow scoring Bailey Murphy.
