DRAFFENVILLE – The Marshals picked up two nice district wins over Murray this week, starting with a 15-4 win in Murray on Tuesday and 2-0 win over the Tigers at home on Thursday, extending their season record to 15-5 and district record to 3-1.
Scoring early on Tuesday, the Marshals put two runs on the board in the 1st inning on a single by Chase Bright, single by Blake Johnson and double by Mason Wooten that brought in both base runners.
Adding two more runs in the 4th inning, the scoring was set up on singles by Wooten and Dylan Greenfield and a ground out by Hunter Jaco that brought Wooten in for the run and double by Lucas Forsythe that scored Greenfield.
Their 6-run 6th inning came together on a 2-run single by Justice Beal, RBI single by Johnson, walk by Greenfield and Chandler Rogers and Jaco hit by pitches that brought bases loaded runners around to home plate for a 10-4 lead.
The Marshals put the game away with four more runs in the 7th with the fire power coming from Bright with a double and singles from Beal, Wooten, Greenfield, Rogers and Jaco.

Hunter Jaco pitched a shut-out in the Marshals 2-0 win at home on Thursday against Murray.
Jaco got some help in the win in the bottom of the 7th by Rogers with a double to right field and a 1-out 2-run homer by Dylan Givens.
