Carol Stonitsch Teeters, 86, of Gilbertsville, Kentucky, formerly of Joliet, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at her home.

Carol was born in Joliet, Illinois on November 28, 1937, to the late Arthur Stonitsch and Helen Swan Stonitsch. During her time in Illinois, she worked as a property inspector for Chicago Title Insurance. After moving to Kentucky she spent many years working as a cook at the Marshall County Girl Scout Camp. Carol was a member of St. Mathew By The Lake Lutheran Church. She was also a true blue Kentucky Wildcat basketball fan and loved her life on the lake.

She is survived by one daughter, Lori Kuta (Bob) of Gilbertsville; two sons, Anthony Alberico (Denise) of Gilbertsville, Kentucky, and Michael Alberico (Monica) of Elwood, Illinois; two sisters, Patricia Riley (Robert) and Rita Saxton (David) both of Joliet, Illinois; one son-in-law, Jeff Hoechst of Lexington, Kentucky; one brother-in-law, Dr. Abe Allen of Reidland; two sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Stonitsch and Cyndi Stonitsch; eleven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her dear friend, Jan Alberico Bowman of Logansport, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Arnold Alberico; her second husband, Harold “Tom” Teeters; one daughter, Debbie Hoechst; one sister, Diane Eisenhammer; four brothers, Richard Stonitsch, Lawrence Stonitsch, Donald Stonitsch, and infant, Bobby Stonitsch; one sister-in-law, Evelyn Allen; and her parents, Arthur Stonitsch and Helen Swan Stonitsch.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at the Life Celebration Center of Filbeck-Cann, 1003 Poplar Street, Benton, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at the Life Celebration Center of Filbeck-Cann with Pastor Colleen Winkler Officiating. Burial will follow in Moreland Cemetery.
