Mrs. Anna Lou Collins, age 88 of Benton, KY died on Monday, May 17, 2021, at her home. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church of Benton.
Born Thursday, December 8, 1932 in Aurora, KY, she was the daughter of the late Lowell Prentis Travis and the late Ola (Ross) Travis.
Surviving are son, John Edd “Johnny” Collins, Jr. of Benton, KY, daughters, Beverly Ann Paschall of Murray, KY, Jackie Thweatt of Benton, KY, grandchildren, Crystal Durham, Carissa Culp, Corey Thweatt, and great-grandchildren, John Durham, Hamp Durham, and Isaac Darnall.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John Edd Collins Sr., brothers, Donald Travis and Charles Travis, and sisters, Mavis Duncan of Murray, KY and Mildred Proctor.
A Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025 with Rev. Mark Thweatt officiating.
Interment will follow in Benton Cemetery, Benton, KY.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Collier Funeral Home.
