Mrs. Betty R. Johnson, age 76 of Benton, KY died on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at Lake Way Nursing & Rehabilitation in Benton, KY. She was a member of Impact Church, the Eastern Star where she was a past worthy matron, and the VFW Womens Auxiliary.
Born Tuesday, June 20, 1944 in Murray, KY, she was the daughter of the late JP “Jack” Wicker and the late Mary Catherine (Morris) Wicker.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Paul N. Johnson of Benton, KY; sons, Brian Neil Johnson of Jacksonville, FL, Jay “J.F.” Johnson, wife Amy of O’Fallon, MO; daughter, Dianna Lutz of Benton, KY; brother, Morris Dale Wicker of Benton, KY;
grandchildren, Joshua Morris (Morganne), Brody Johnson, Trevor Johnson, Kaden Johnson, Carter Johnson, Christopher Wilson; and great grandchildren, Guage and Mavis Morris.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Conner Jung
A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 18, 2021 at Collier Funeral Chapel, located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025 with Rev. Chris Young officiating.
Interment will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 in Ky Veterans Cemetery West, Hopkinsville, KY.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Collier Funeral Home.
