UPDATE at 10:40 a.m., CDT

PADUCAH, Ky. (May 9, 2024)  Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) crews in District 1 have the following Water Over Road Report:

Carlisle County
U.S. 62 has Water Over Road signs posted at the 4 to 6mm in West Fork Creek Bottoms west of the KY 121 intersection – KYTC personnel monitoring traffic flow
KY 1820 is closed at the 1 to 3mm
KY 1628 is closed at the 3 to 4mm

Fulton County
KY 94 has Water Over Road signs posted at the 7 to 11mm in the Lower Bottom “Dip” Area between KY 311 and KY 1099

Marshall County
KY 1462/Benton-Birmingham Road is closed near the 2mm at the Clarks River Bridge – Signs and barricades posted
KY 1949/Wadesboro Rd is closed at the 7.3mm at Middle Fork Creek south of the I-69 Tunnel

PADUCAH, Ky. (May 9, 2024)  Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) crews in District 1 have the following Water Over Road Report:

Carlisle County
U.S. 62 has Water Over Road signs posted at the 4 to 6mm in West Fork Creek Bottoms west of the KY 121 intersection – KYTC personnel monitoring traffic
KY 1820 is closed at the 2 to 3mm
KY 1628 is closed at the 4 to 5mm

Livingston County
KY 723 is OPEN at the 6.3mm at the north edge of Salem where a large tree and downed powerlines blocked the roadway overnight

Hickman County
U.S. 51 is open and Water Over Road signs removed at the 9mm near the Country Club north of Clinton – All lanes are open

Marshall County
KY 1462/Benton-Birmingham Road is closed near the 2mm at the Clarks River Bridge – Signs and barricades posted
KY 1949/Wadesboro Rd is closed at the 7.3mm at Middle Fork Creek south of the I-69 Tunnel

Report for 6:30 a.m., CDT – Water is off U.S. 51 in Hickman County

PADUCAH, Ky. (May 9, 2024)  Motorists are advised to use caution this morning.   Overnight thunderstorms flooded roadways, downed trees at several locations, and washed debris onto the roadway around the region.  While crews have been responding, there may be locations with travel issues that have not been reported.

Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) crews in District 1 have the following Water Over Road Report:

Livingston County

NOTE:  Marshall County also reported water on the roadway at several locations along KY 95 in the Calvert City during the overnight hours with debris washed onto the roadway.  These areas have been cleared.  However, caution is required as debris may be on the roadway at additional locations that have not been reported.
