KSP find missing woman unharmed, man arrested

UPDATE: Lori Peavy has been located, unharmed. At 10:30 a.m., Kentucky State Police and Fulton City Police located Peavy and Billy Joe Williams at a motel in Fulton. Peavy was unharmed and Williams was arrested.

Billy Joe Williams, age 42, of Amory, Miss., was arrested on a Kentucky indictment charging him with second-degree assault and tampering with a witness. He was lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center.

Kentucky State Police are asking for the public’s assistance locating Lori Peavy. Peavy was last seen yesterday about 3 p.m. in the Paducah area. Peavy was last seen in the company of Billy Jo Williams.

Peavy is described as a 41-year-old white woman, with long light brown hair. She is 5-feet-4, and weighs about 135 pounds.

Williams is described as a 42-year-old white man, with short dark hair and a receding hairline. He is 5-feet-9, and weighs about 155 pounds. Williams has multiple active warrants to include a felony indictment in Kentucky for second-degree assault. He is to be considered dangerous and should not be approached.

Williams and Peavy have ties to several states to include Florida, North Carolina, Louisiana and Tennessee.

The Kentucky State Police are concerned for Peavy’s and requests anyone who may know her whereabouts to call immediately.
