Marshall County Sheriff’s Report for Feb. 1st – 7th

On Sunday February 7th Deputy Luke Rudd and Deputy William Strader was on a traffic stop on Briensburg Rd. The subject gave consent to search the vehicle and deputies located a pipe with white powder residue in it located in the back seat which tested positive for methamphetamine. Mark Holmes 48, of Benton, was arrested and charged with Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Another busy week for Marshall County Sheriff’s Deputies as they answered 294 call for service. This includes 12 traffic crashes, 3 with injuries, 4 DUIs, 6 motorist assists, 4 burglaries / thefts, 2 animal complaints, 8 domestic disturbances / fights, 18 warrants served, 20 civil papers served, 18 extra patrols, and 67 traffic stops.
