On Feb 14, 2023 deputies took a report from a female Murray resident that stated she and her juvenile daughter had been held against their will overnight. Dorsey Hutson, who did not reside there, had entered her home without her knowing while she and her juvenile daughter were at home. They attempted to leave the residence but the mother was assaulted in the yard. He took her phone and kept them overnight against their will. The next morning, he told her to take him to Hazel and not to report the incident. After she dropped him off she went to the sheriff’s office where she filed a report. Hutson was unable to be located and a warrant for his arrest was issued.
On Feb 18, 2023 a 911 call was received stating Hutson was again at the victim’s residence. It was reported that the victim had heard a knock at the door. She did not answer but he then kicked in the door and entered the residence. She grabbed a bat but Hutson grabbed it and they struggled over control. He then pushed her to the ground and began kicking her.
As deputies were enroute Hutson left in an unknown direction. Deputies located the vehicle and the driver would not stop. The pursuit went down multiple county roads until it entered Henry County TN. The pursuit was terminated by deputies when it entered a high traffic volume area. Another warrant was issued for his arrest. Later that same day Hutson was located at his residence in Hazel, was arrested on the below listed charges and lodged at the Calloway County Detention Center.
