My name is Lt Arnie Puckett from Mccracken County Jail in Paducah. I wanted to make you aware of an event that we are having Monday, April 25 at 10:30 AM at the McCracken county annex at 500 Clarence Gains paducah Kentucky.
McCracken County Jail has become known for its innovation into a vocational training programs designed to reduce recidivism rates and provide a badly needed labor source for area economy. Jailer Knight has developed the programs and is now interested in expanding them.
In partnership with WKCTC in Paducah we have developed several trade skills such as welding, deckhand and electrical classes to train inmates that are non-violent, to re-enter society and become a contributing member of the economy. The hours that the inmates gain through the vocational training can be applied to an associates degree through the college. The programs have proven to reduce recidivism among those that have participated. Jailer David Knight has extended an invitation to jailer Roger Ford of Marshall County Jail and Jailer Ken Claude of Calloway County Jail to join McCracken County Jail in bringing inmates into these vocational training classes.
This new partnership between the three jails will likely lead to a Regional vocational training program suitable for duplicating the model in other parts of the state.
I would like to invite you to join us Monday as we make the announcement for this new partnership. You can certainly give me a call if you have any questions.

Thank you for your interest,

Lt Arnie Puckett
