Niki Matlock, 72

Niki L. Matlock, 72, of Paducah, Kentucky passed away at 7:55 p.m. Monday, January 11, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Paducah on March 27, 1948 to the late “Doc” and Lela Toy Matlock. Niki was retired from Wayne Supply after 31 years of service. He was the Farm Manager for Jim Smith Construction and Fleet Manager for Mid-West Fuel Terminal. Niki was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local #181, lifetime member of the N.R.A. and was an avid follower of Jesus Christ. He was a Master Angler who enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with others outdoors. Niki was a 1966 graduate of Ballard Memorial High School and was well known for his athletic skills. He received the Commanders Award for Public Service from the Department of the Army for saving a life on Kentucky Lake. One of his favorite scriptures was Psalm 23:2-3, He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

Niki is survived by his wife, Nancy Jo Jennings Matlock; four sons, Niki Shane Matlock of Paducah, KY, Jeremiah Lynn Matlock of Paducah, KY, Justin Cory Matlock and wife, Ashlie of Benton, KY and Jacob Scott Matlock of Paducah, KY; step-son, Nick Bloodworth of Paducah, KY; step-daughter, Hannah Bloodworth of Evansville, IN; three grandchildren, Addison Matlock, Tristan Matlock and Jolene Nik Matlock.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Matlock Mullins and his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 15, 2021 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Jacob Hayden officiating. Burial will follow at Rosebower Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.

In memory of Niki and his love for the outdoors, the family request that everyone attending the services dress in camouflage clothing.
