Library to host informative session on streaming services

BENTON, KY – Netflix. Hulu. Fire sticks. Smart TVs. Attempting to watch television in today’s world offers a variety of choices, but for many people, it also involves a lot of confusion. Which service offers the type of programming you want? How do you set it all up? And how much money will it all cost?

In June the Marshall County Public Library will attempt to answer these questions and more in their Cut the Cord program. The informative session, which will be held at all three branches of the library, will focus on streaming services and devices in order to assist people who are interested in moving away from a cable or satellite television service to something more custom-made for their tastes and needs.

“There are lots of options out there, and sometimes it can be hard to know exactly where to start,” says Nick Adams, Digital Media Coordinator for the Marshall County Public Library. “In this program I’ll be covering the different services available, what they offer, and the equipment needed to get you going.”
The program will be held at the library’s Benton branch on Thursday, June 6, at 3:30 p.m.; the Calvert City branch on Friday, June 7, at 3:30 p.m.; and the Hardin branch on Monday, June 10, at 1:00 p.m.
