Kentucky State Police Participating in Cram the Cruiser

MAYFIELD, Ky. (November 29, 2023)
 – Kentucky State Police (KSP), Post 1 is participating in Cram the Cruiser, a statewide campaign to collect food donations and raise funds for local food pantries during the holiday season.

Members of the community are urged to stop by KSP Post 1, located at 8366 US Highway 45 N. in Hickory, KY and help cram the cruiser that is parked out on the front lawn today through December 6th with non-perishable food items. Suggested food items include canned fruit and vegetables, canned meat, macaroni and cheese, cereal, peanut butter, jelly, canned soups, chili or spaghetti sauce, brownie and cake mixes, coffee, water, powdered milk and juice. Items can be placed directly in the cruiser or brought into the lobby. We will then deliver those non-perishable foods to local food pantries within the Post 1 area.

KSP recognizes that some of our community members need a little extra help this holiday season as they may be facing circumstances that have led to limited food in their homes. We want to help, but we need the community’s help to do so. Be a part of spreading love and joy this holiday season by dropping off non-perishable food items to cram the cruiser. We thank the community for their ongoing support of this initiative since the program began in 2010.
