Lady Marshals second, Marshals third at Greenwood’s Invitational

The Lady Marshals placed second on Monday at Greenwood’s Lady Gator Invitational played at Bowling Green Country Club. With a team score of 336, they finished 22 strokes behind first place Sacred Heart Academy with a score of 314.

Katie Roberts led the Lady Marshals with a 6-over par 78 to finish tied for sixth place. Brooklyn Cunningham shot 84 to finish tied for 25th followed by Skylar Waller and Cecelia Ray with 87’s and Kelli Roberts shot 93. The have played the last few tournaments without reigning state champion Trinity Beth.

Ballard Memorial’s Madison Glisson shot a 1-under 71 to win the individual title.

The Marshals finished third in the Gator Invitational with a score of 309. Greenwood took the team title with a score of 295 followed by Bowling Green in second with 300.

Ryan Stokes shot a 2-over par 74 to lead the Marshals and tied for fourth. DJ Morris shot a 3-over 75 and finished tied for eighth, Paxton Carter tied for 12th with 77, Nolan Hurst and Andy Jones both shot 83.

Greenwood’s Jacob Lane won medalist honors with a 7-under par 65 followed by teammate Layton Richie with a 4-under 68.
