Mrs. Celia JeNeane Coleman, 71, of Murray, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah.
Mrs. Coleman was born September 9, 1949, in Nashville, TN to the late Rufus and Mariah Daniel Platt. On June 27, 1969 she married Ron Coleman and they have enjoyed 51 years of marriage. Mrs. Coleman loved kids and so she followed in her parents footsteps by working in the education field most of her life. She loved taking pictures and spending time at the beach.
Along with her parents, Mrs. Coleman is preceded in death by her brother. Maurice Ralph Platt.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ron, and daughter, Mary Coleman, both of Murray, KY as well as Mary’s sister, Eva Moore.
The funeral for Mrs. Coleman will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Imes Funeral Home & Crematory, downtown Murray Burial will follow at Murray City Cemetery. There will be a Facebook live video of the service that will be accessible through the Imes Funeral Home & Crematory Facebook page.
The family welcomes visitors from 5 PM to 7 PM on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Imes Funeral Home & Crematory, downtown Murray.
