Mrs. Mary Hunt Johnson, age 86, of Mayfield passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Mills Manor Health & Rehab in Mayfield, KY.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Mayfield, taught Children’s Bible Drill for 25 years and attended the Friendship Sunday School Class. She was also on the MHS Alumni Committee, Homecoming Queen in 1950 at MHS and a retired employee of Mayfield Printing Company.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by four sons, Scott (Kim) Johnson of Mayfield, KY, David Weaks of Mayfield, KY, Marty (Ann) Johnson of Lawton, OK and Mike Weaks of Farmington, KY; three daughters, Candy Weaks of Mayfield, KY, Teresa (Dickie) Brown of Glendale, SC and Cathy (Mark) Crawford of Mayfield, KY; ten grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Johnson; one sister, Caroline Copeland; and her parents, Hunt and Pearl Covington.
Graveside services for Mrs. Mary Hunt Johnson will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Highland Park Cemetery. Dr. Wes Fowler will officiate. Interment will follow.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Perkins, Adam Crawford, Zac Weaks, John Michael Weaks, Arthur Byrn and Stacey Joiner. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Stinson and John Davis.
Visitation will be 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY.
