Marshals win dual match over St. Mary

In their first dual match of the season, the Marshals matched up with St. Mary at Calvert City Country Club, winning by 11 strokes – 147 to 158. Leading the way for the Marshals, both Jay Nimmo and Trey Wall shot 2-under 34’s. Rocco Zakutney had the low round for St. Mary with an even par 36.

Behind Nimmo and Wall, Hayden Powell shot 38, Preston Futrell 41 and Camdyn McLeod 42.

Scoring for St. Mary following Zakutney was Cade Flemming 40, Peyton Purvis 41, Luke Wilson 41 and Palmer Sims 48.

The Marshals fielded a second team that shot 169. They were led by Ryan Stokes at 40, David Jack Morris and Gunner Hoover shot 42, Drake Butler 45 and Tate Scillion 50. Each team had one individual player – Ethan Morgan (Marshall) shot 50 and Aidan Hahn (St. Mary) 41.

The Marshals will be in Franklin, Ky. on Saturday to compete in the Franklin-Simpson Wildcat Shootout at Franklin Country Club.
