Jessica Scillian and Beth Cooper from the City of Benton were guests on Coffee Call

Joining us on Coffee Call this week on WCBL were Benton City Clerk and Treasurer Beth Cooper and office manager for Benton Gas Company, Jessica Scillian. Here pictured being interviewed by WCBL’s Cindy Riley. You might have noticed the work being done on Poplar Street near the Children’s Art Center. That is Kindness Park and will eventually have a butterfly garden, a book box and will provide citizens with a nice place to visit and relax. If and when we get a substantial snow, the city of Benton should be in good shape with plenty of salt and some new snow removal equipment. Cooper says some water lines are being replaced on Main Street from 9th Street to 15th Street. And Scillian says the gas company will be undertaking a one and a half million dollar project that will provide gas service to new customers in the future.
