A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to close the Julian Carroll-Purchase Parkway exit 25 northbound ramp to U.S. Hwy. 45 at Mayfield starting Friday, April 20, 2018.
The Purchase Parkway Exit 25 northbound ramp to U.S. Hwy. 45 at Mayfield will be closed starting Friday morning for upgrades, including removal of old curb and gutter, widening of the ramps and extending the ramp. The ramp is expected to remain closed for about a week
During this ramp closure portable message boards placed along the parkway to provide direction with a marked detour via the Purchase Parkway exit 24 northbound exit ramp to State Route 121 at Mayfield.
M&M Contracting is the prime contractor on a $2.4 million ongoing project to upgrade bridges and ramps along the Parkway to allow I-69 to be extended southward along the parkway in the fugure. Once the ramp widening and upgrade work is completed the contractor will return for paving of ramps at several interchanges.
