MURRAY – Twenty-one meet records fell at Saturday’s Racer Relays High School Invitational at Murray State University. Twenty-two girls teams and 19 boys teams from Kentucky, Tennessee and Illinois competed with the top spot among the girls teams going to Murray High, second place was Bartlett, TN, Paducah Tilghman took third and Marshall County placed seventh. Bartlett, TN boys took first followed by Paducah Tilghman in second and Marshall County third.
Highlighting the Marshall County boy’s team were two first place finishes by Jackson Brown in the 110 meter and 300 meter high hurdles. Garrett Fulgham took fourth in the 800 meters behind three Barlett, TN runners who took the top three spots, all three breaking the meet record. Jackson Yates took third in the 2,000 meter steeplechase and Cameron Thurman placed third in the shot put.
Top finishes for the girls came from Jordyn Ray who won the 2000 meter steeplechase, Audrey Grizzard took third in the pole vault, Jordyn Reed fourth in the 800 meters and Tori Ford placed seventh in the 400 meters.
