CFS golf competes in matches at Princeton and Calvert City

CALVERT CITY – Christian Fellowship hosted teams from Hickman County, Fulton County and Lyon County Thursday at Calvert City Country Club. Hickman County won the match with 190, CFS placed second with 201 and Fulton County third with 211. Lyon County posted no team score.

Lyon County’s Cullen Brown earned medalist honors with a 4-under 32 played on the back 9. CFS was led by Logan Draffen with 49 followed by Gavin Cypret 50, Elijah Toth 51 and Jordan Vaughn 51.

Tyler Abernathy led Hickman County with 45 and Fulton County’s Seth Jones shot 47. Lady Eagle Maddie Ortt led two players from Hickman County with 42.

At Princeton Country Club on Tuesday, Caldwell County shot 166 to win the match over CFS with 209. Caldwell’s Will Taylor was medalist with an even par 36. Jordan Choate shot 48 to lead the Eagles with a 50 recorded by Toth, Draffen shot 55 and Vaughn 56.

This weekend’s KCAC State Tournament scheduled at Calvert City Country Club has been cancelled.
