Former Marshall County soccer players honored with Captain selections

Two former Marshall County soccer players, Garrison Wagner and Blaine Skeen, have been selected by their teammates as Captains for the 2016 collegiate soccer season. Both 2014 Marshall County High School graduates, Garrison and Blaine are not only excelling on the field but in the classroom as well.

Garrison, currently a sophomore mid-fielder, plays for the Berea College Men’s Soccer Program and Blaine, a sophomore defender, plays for the Georgetown College Men’s Soccer Program.

Garrison was a 4-year starter at Marshall County and a part of three regional titles, earning Most Valuable Player his senior year.

Blaine, a 4-year starter for the Marshals was also a big part of three regional titles, earning All-District and All-Region honors throughout his high school career.

Upon entering collegiate soccer, Marshals Head Coach Andrew Pagel said of the two players, they were leaders on and off the field and team players with great work ethics.
