Master Gardener Barbara Ray joined us on WCBL’s Coffee Call program. Ray says with the high prices at the grocery store, now is a good time to start planning your vegetable gardens. She says there is six-step process that can help you get started. One thing Ray says is very important is to consider the time and effort it will take to prepare, plant and care for your garden. She says many people don’t consider how much time it will take to do it properly, but the rewards of having a garden are very fulfilling. Ray also says lots of free information about gardening is available from the Marshall County Extension Office.
