Master Gardener Barbara Ray joined us on WCBL’s Coffee Call program. She says the recent rain and cooler temperatures are a welcome relief from the hot weather. And Ray says there is still lots of planting time between now and the first killing frost approximately 90 days away. Ray says it’s always good to save your own seeds to help you save when you get ready to plant your garden next year. And she reminds you one of the smartest things you can do for successful gardening is to get a soil test, available for a small fee at the Marshall County Extension Office. Ray says lots of other free information is available from the extension office.
