UPDATE: I-24 Westbound Blocked by SEMI Crash at 22mm in Marshall County

PADUCAH, Ky. (Feb. 9, 2023)  Marshall County 911 Dispatch reports the westbound lanes of Interstate 24 continue to be blocked by a SEMI crash near the 22 mile marker in Marshall County.

A FED EX dual-trailer SEMI crashed.  Early reports indicate one of the trailers has split in half.  The recovery crew is offloading the trailer to allow it to be removed.

Estimated duration is extended 2 hours to approximately 10:30 a.m., CST.

Westbound I-24 traffic is being detoured off at the U.S. 62 Calvert City Exit 27 Interchange to take U.S. 62 West to return to I-24 at the U.S. 68 Reidland Exit 16 Interchange.

Caution is required along the section of U.S. 62 between Calvert City and Reidland due to increased traffic created by the detour.

There is no impact on eastbound traffic at this crash site.
