McCracken County Fair postponed until July

Paducah/McCracken Co, KY – The McCracken County Fair Board and Belle City Amusements have made the difficult decision to postpone the McCracken County fair until the week of July 5 – 9, 2022.

The Lone Star Rodeo planned for this weekend, Friday June 17 & Saturday June 18 at Carson Park fairgrounds, WILL run as scheduled. It appears we will have a brief cool down in temperatures during the evening hours.

“Due to the extreme record heat we are expecting next week, our fair board have decided it was best to postpone the carnival and grandstand events out of an abundance of caution for our guests and volunteers,” Fair Board member Mark Ryan said. “We are very thankful that this plan also works for Belle City Amusements who provides the rides and midway for our carnival.”

The McCracken County Fair, presented by South Paducah Kiwanis Club, will also move all planned grandstand events to the new dates provided that our event organizer’s and promoter’s schedules will allow.

For now, we still plan to go by the following schedule:
Tuesday July 5 – Family Night at The Fair
Wednesday July 6 – Western Horse Show
Thursday July 7 – Wiener Dog Races & Talent Show
Friday July 8 – Krashin’ For Kids demolition derby
Saturday July 9 – Racin’ For Rugrats enduro derby

Gate admission to the fair at Carson Park in Paducah is only $3.00 and includes grandstand events. Ride armbands from Belle City Amusements are only $20.00 each night of the fair. Parking on the grounds is only $2.

Money raised during the fair benefits nearly two dozen local children’s charities, distributed by the South Paducah Kiwanis Club. Kiwanis helps kids around the world. Local clubs like South Paducah Kiwanis Club look out for our communities and the international organization takes on large-scale challenges, such as fighting disease and poverty.
