Mr. Terry Lee Gardner, age 66 of Benton, KY died on Sunday, January 3, 2021 in Nashville, TN. He was a retired Deputy Jailer and was a veteran of the US Army. Mr. Gardner was a jack of all trades, and loved to help his community.
Born Wednesday, December 22, 1954 in Detroit, MI, he was the son of the late Ernist Gardner and the late Verble (Sloan) Gardner.
Surviving are son, Jason Gardner, wife Shelly of Symsonia, KY, daughter, Hollie Jo Thomasson, husband Jackie of Calvert City, KY, step-daughter, Erin Powell, husband Brent of Benton, KY, significant other, Cindy Nelson of Symsonia, KY, brother, Earl Gardner, wife Melanie of Statesboro, GA, sisters, Glenda Donohue, husband Rick of Rossville, GA, Marylin Gardner of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA and Lana Blood, husband Scott of Panama City, FL; grandchildren, Bailee Thomasson, Jackie Thomasson III, Natalie Gardner, Evie Powell, Dalton Powell, Dax Powell; and 1 great-grandchild, Ronni Jo Stephens.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Bob Holbrook and Jerry Holbrook.
A Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 7, 2020 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025 with Bro. Joel Frizzell and Bro. Darrin Miller officiating.
Interment will follow in Marshall Co. Memory Gardens, Benton, KY.
Visitation will be held between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2020 at Collier Funeral Home.
