Howard Helton, age 95, of Benton, KY, passed away on May 7, 2020 at Calvert City Convalescent Center.
He was born on September 27, 1924 in Corbin, KY to his late parents, Charlie and Elizabeth Sulfridge Helton. Howard was a hard worker all his life. He worked 34 years as a crane operator and was a member of the Operating Engineers 324 union in Detroit, MI for 73 years. He liked being busy and enjoyed gardening.
Howard is survived by his daughter, Pat (Dwight) Pierson of Benton; sister, Edna Lawson of Grand Rapids, MI; brother, Bobby Mills of Flushing, MI.
In addition to his parents, Howard was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Evelyn Carter Helton; sister, Geneva Patton; two brothers, Cecil Helton and Bill Helton.
