Franklin Crabtree, age 77 of Gilbertsville, passed away on Saturday, January 11th at his home of natural causes.
He was born January 11, 1943 in Holly Pond, Alabama the son of the late Carl and Mona Rowland Crabtree.
He was a member of the Catholic Church and retired from the General Mills Chemical Company. He loved his family, fishing and Nascar.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Lorraine Crabtree of Gilbertsville; five sons Richard Crabtree of Hopkinsville, Pat Crabtree of Clifton, Illinois, Phil Crabtree of Gilbertsville, Bob Crabtree of Clifton, Illinois and Mark Crabtree of Ashkum, Illinois; two brothers Eldon Plante of Kankakee, Illinois and Robert Plante of Herscher, Illinois; one sister Diane Buhr of Momence, Illinois; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
It was his wishes to be cremated.
Arrangements are being handled by the Marshall County Funeral Home.
