Gerald “Nace” Burnett, 77, of Paducah, passed away at 3:40 pm on Friday, January 3, 2020 at The Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center.
Nace was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Paducah, a retired Meter Inspector and Repairman for Paducah Water Works, and a member of Masonic Lodge 127.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Linda Allen Burnett; daughter, Laurie Burnett of Paducah; son, Gerald Dale Burnett of LaCenter; two sisters, Cora Sue Brown of Paducah, Betty… Lou Dowdy of Mayfield; two brothers, Ray Burnett of Ledbetter and Bill Burnett of Boaz; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his four sisters, Georgia Thompson, Margie Adams, Joyce Harris, Judy Peck; and eight brothers, Terry Wayne, Charles, R.L., Robert, Edward, Lewis, Johnny, and James Burnett. His parents were Rommie Burnett and Teresa Boswell Burnett.
A funeral service for Nace is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 6, 2020 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev. C.W. Barnhill officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Kenton Cemetery.
Visitation for Nace will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
