Robert “Bob” Husher, Sr., age 91, of Calvert City, passed away at 8:00 am Thursday, May 2, 2019 at his residence.
Mr. Husher was manager of Calvert City Lumber Company for over 40 years and was a member of Calvert City United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Paducah Shriners Club, Rizpah of Madisonville. He was the head of the Paducah Motor Patrol where he performed in many parades all over western Kentucky. He loved golfing and traveling with his beloved wife.
Robert Husher is survived by his wife of 66 years Lena Sue Owen Husher; four daughters, Barbara Taylor and husband, Bob, of Sikeston, MO., Diane Brown and husband, Delmer , of Jefferson City, MO., Kathy Rudolph and husband, Van, of Calvert City, and Terry Reside and husband, Dan, of Springfield, IL; one son, Robert Husher and wife, Sally, of Hickory, KY; one sister, Betty Boyd of Calvert City; nine grandchildren, Randy Carmack, Brett Rudolph, Colton Husher, Chad Rudolph, Lucas Campbell, Chelsey Olson, Sheena Hoadley, Matthew Husher, and Zach Campbell; ten great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Marjorie Swanigan Husher; three daughters, Marjorie Mae Husher, Linda Sue Husher and Stephanie Jane Husher; one son, John James Husher; five sisters, Maxine Husher, Pauline Husher, Sally Dunaway, Bernice Robey, and Delores Crawford; and two grandchildren, Brandy Brown Clark and Scott Carmack.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Calvert City United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Calhoun officiating. Burial will follow at Provine Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the 1:00 pm service time on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Calvert City United Methodist Church.
