Barbara McKendree

Mrs. Barbara June McKendree, 81, passed away Wednesday, September 28 at her home in
Benton, KY. Barbara was born February 20, 1935 in Calloway County, KY.

Barbara was the wife of the late Joe Tom McKendree. She was a homemaker and worked
with Joe Tom in their ceramic tile business. 

Barbara was a member of Brooks Chapel United Methodist Church. She belonged to the
American Hemerocalles Daylily Society, and was a winner of the Master
Conservationist Award. She loved spending time with family and friends. Her hobbies
were: traveling, bowling, working puzzles, raising cattle, and gardening. She was
well known for her beautiful flowers.

Surviving Barbara are: son, Brad McKendree and wife Julie, daughter, Tonia Doom and
husband William; two sisters, Jean Ross and Anne Siress; grandchildren: Ashley
Taylor, Katie Collins, Justin McKendree and wife Melissa, Sarah Doom, Stephanie
Leab; and great-grandchildren, Zachary McKendree, Lillian Collins, Montana Leab, Lex
Doom, Morgan Borens, and Lilly Hopkins.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Tom, her parents, Toy and Lola
(Burkeen) Jones, and two infant sons, Michael and Bruce. 

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2016 in the chapel
of the Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th St., Benton, KY 42025, Rev. Sam Chambers
officiating.

Interment will follow in the Brooks Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will be held between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on Friday,
September 30, 2016 at Collier Funeral Home.
