PADUCAH – Marshall County’s Patrick Newcomb won the Pro Division of the Irvin Cobb Championship at Paxton Park in Paducah held July 16-17. Newcomb shot a blistering 13-under (65-64) to win by four strokes over Tim O’Neal in the field of 44 professionals.
Brother Nick Newcomb trailed Patrick by one stroke after the first round and finished the tournament tied for 10th with Even par (66-76).
The Amateur Division and Junior Division was won by 17 year old Chase Landrum of Glasgow, Ky. with 7-under (69-66). Marshall County’s Quinn Eaton finished tied for 9th with 4-over (73-73) and Jay Nimmo finished tied at 20th with 16-over (78-80). The Amateur field had 88 players vying for the title.
