Two Marshall County High School students accepted into Kentucky Center Governor’s School for the Arts

GSA2015DRAFFENVILLE – Officials of the Kentucky Center Governor’s School for the Arts announced winners for the 2015 school year. Marshall County High School is honored to have two students and one alternate accepted to the 2015 Kentucky Center Governor’s School for the Arts. Every summer for the past twenty-eight years, GSA and their faculty of professional artist/educators have guided over two hundred of Kentucky’s finest young artists through three weeks of incredibly intense arts instruction (since 2014, on the campus of Centre College in Danville).

GSA auditions promising high school sophomores and juniors in nine different arts disciplines: Architecture, Creative Writing, Dance, Drama, Instrumental Music, Musical Theatre, New Media, Visual Art and Vocal Music. The students selected from Marshall County High School are:
VOCAL MUSIC – Kennedy Parker and Matthew Youngblood
ALTERNATE – VOCAL MUSIC Karlee Jones
