Behind freshman Travis Perry’s 31 point night, the Lyon County Lyons won the 2nd Region All “A” Classic title for the first time since the 2009-10 season. Friday’s 88-60 win over Caldwell County punched their ticket to the All “A” State Tournament at Eastern Kentucky University Feb. 15-21 against the winner of the 7th Region.

The Lyons built a 27-5 lead at the end of the first quarter. The scoring was more balanced between the two teams the rest of the way but the first quarter deficit was too much for the Tigers to overcome.

Caldwell County will get another chance at the Lyons when they meet again tonight in a regular season game in Princeton.
