(KUTTAWA, Ky.) — The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reported a series of arrests, charges, and traffic incidents spanning the week of February 10–15, 2026.

The week’s activity began Tuesday afternoon when Chief Deputy Sam Adams arrested Kathy Baker, 49, of Water Valley, on a fugitive warrant. Baker was found in the National Crime Information Center database as wanted by Pemiscot County, Missouri on a felony forgery charge and now awaits extradition.

That same afternoon, Sheriff Brent White investigated a minor traffic collision at Suwanee Baptist Church on KY 810 North, where Kimberly Dycus, 67, of Kuttawa struck a parked, unoccupied 2025 Chevrolet Trax. No injuries were reported. Hours earlier, deputies cited Tyler Frazier, 32, of Kuttawa on a marijuana possession charge following a drug complaint at a local business. Frazier was released with a citation to Lyon District Court.

On Wednesday, deputies served a Jefferson District Court bench warrant on Juvontae Barney, 25, of Louisville for failure to appear. Later that morning, Chief Deputy Adams arrested Travis Humphrey, 35, of Kuttawa in connection with a burglary reported days earlier at a residence off KY 810 South. Humphrey is accused of breaking into a garage, stealing an ATV and selling it for cash in the Suwanee area, and taking additional items he allegedly believed could be used to identify him as the burglar. He faces charges of third-degree burglary, theft by unlawful taking, and tampering with physical evidence. Deputies recovered the stolen ATV the same day at a residence in the Bar X mobile home park. Humphrey was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.

Thursday brought two more incidents. Sheriff White investigated a morning collision on Days Inn Drive in Kuttawa after Barrett Edwards, 32, of Calvert City struck a concrete curb and earthen ditch while misjudging the entrance to a local BP station. Edwards was cited for expired vehicle registration, failure to maintain required insurance, and not having his license in his possession. That night, Deputy Shannon Oliver was called to a disturbance on Forest Glen Drive, where he encountered an intoxicated man and directed him to remain in his room. When deputies were called back just fifteen minutes later, the same man — Tyler Durham, 34, of Calhoun — was found outside causing a disturbance with co-workers. Durham was arrested on charges of alcohol intoxication and resisting arrest.

The week’s most significant law enforcement action came Saturday, when members of the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, Western Kentucky Violent Crime Task Force, Kentucky State Police, and Eddyville Police Department jointly executed a search warrant at a Green Road residence as part of the ongoing burglary investigation. Justin Mayhugh, 36, of Kuttawa was arrested by Deputy Bobby Beeler and charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Mayhugh was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center, with additional charges described as pending.

The week closed in the early hours of Sunday morning when Deputy Oliver located a vehicle off the roadway on US 641 North near Beck Road. The driver, Karen Lewis, 45, of Grand Rivers, was arrested and charged with operating on a suspended or revoked license and DUI — her second such offense. No injuries were reported.
