Lady Marshals win matches over Murray and Carlisle County

The Lady Marshals celebrate a point in their win last week over Calloway County. They will play the Lady Lakers again in Murray on Thursday.

The Lady Marshals volleyball team extended their win streak to eight with recent wins over Murray and Carlisle County. They will look to keep the hot streak going when they play at Calloway County on Thursday after defeating the Lady Lakers 3-1 last week.

Their record improves to 11-3 overall and 5-0 in the district. A win over Calloway County (6-11) on Thursday will earn the Lady Marshals a regular season sweep over district opponents.

They beat Murray 3-1 by scores of 25-17, 25-13, 17-25, 25-15. In kills, they were led by Olivia Hawkins with nine and four each by Kylie Merrick, Bella Redden and Hadley Barrett. Laney Yates had three blocks. In assists, Emma Reynolds had 15 and Reagan Carmichael seven. Maleah Terry had 18 digs, Hawkins 16 and 10 by Carmichael. Yates led in aces with three and Carmichael and Redden had two each.

Monday, the Lady Marshals earned a 3-0 sweep over Carlisle County by scores of 25-17, 25-17, 25-22. Hawkins and Redden led in kills with five each. Reynolds had 17 assists and 19 digs. Terry had 15 digs and four aces.
