Rylee Thompson signed to continue her track and field and academic career at Kentucky Wesleyan College in Owensboro today at Marshall County High School. Rylee is a 5-year member of the Marshall County track and field program and has been an integral part of the Lady Marshals’ success in many events over the course of those years.
Rylee is an All-Area and All-Purchase competitor who has had great success in the long jump and triple jump as well as hurdles. Currently she is ranked in the top 12 in the long jump and triple jump across the state among all classes. Rylee has also been a vital part of the 4 x 100 relay the past two seasons.
Rylee’s track and field coaches say she has been one of the best and most consistent performers that they have had over the past five seasons and has exhibited an extraordinary work ethic in all aspects of being a student athlete. She is also a member of the Lady Marshals soccer team.
Joining Rylee on Wednesday were members of her family, the track and field team, the soccer team, coaches, school resource officers and friends.
