KLC Presents Liability Grant to Benton Gas System

BENTON, KY – The Kentucky League of Cities (KLC) presented the Benton Gas System with a 2022 Liability Grant. KLC members receive the money to help fund various programs and services that reduce liability and make the community safer. KLC has awarded more than $5.5 million in liability and safety grants since 1999.

Representatives for the utility thanked KLC for the funds and stressed the grant’s positive impact on the community. “We are thrilled to be awarded the KLC Liability Grant to help us replace meters from the tornado last year,” said Benton Gas System Office Manger Jessica Scillian. “We lost over 170 meters, and this will be a huge asset to aid in the cost of replacing those. Thank you, KLC, for the opportunity to apply and receive these funds.”
